Research interests

I am a Research Assistant at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence at the University of Cambridge. I work on the Wellcome Trust funded project ‘Understanding Medical Black Boxes’. I am also an AHRC funded PhD candidate in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Bristol. My PhD is about the ethics of automated vehicles. The bulk of my research is about the ethics of AI. But this research tends to overlap with my side interests in moral and political philosophy, decision theory, formal epistemology, legal philosophy, philosophy of science and philosophy of biology. I was President of the British Postgraduate Philosophy Association and an Executive Committee Member of the British Philosophical Association from 2018 to 2019. I was the Editor in Chief of the British Journal of Undergraduate Philosophy and the Assistant President of the British Undergraduate Philosophy Society from 2014 to 2016.
