My PhD research explores how parents provide a "good education" in a context of intensified market conditions such as Chile. In particular, I analyse what is considered 'good education' and how education policy shapes the relationship between family and education. Through their narratives of schooling, I explore how parents make sense of education quality and parenthood and the gendered implications of "giving a good education", focusing on fathers.
