Personal profile

Research interests

I am interested in the potential of economics to influence local decision-making relating to the use of resources across the health and care system.  One current research focus is the application of ICECAP capability measures to promote outcome-orientated provision by commissioners and providers of health and care services.

I have experience of applied economic evaluation and health policy analysis spanning the impact of economic incentives for individuals and organisations, process-orientated quality improvement programmes, and national system reform processes.

Recent methodological outcomes research has included issues relating to paediatric quality of life instruments for use in economic evaluation in acute hospital settings.
