Personal profile

Research interests

I am a paramedic currently working with the London Ambulance Service whilst completing the Wellcome funded MScR (Bioethics) in the Centre for Ethics in Medicine at the University of Bristol. My research is on paramedic decision making in cardiac arrest, specifically looking at decisions to commence or forego resuscitation. I am looking at these issues as a bioethicist, so looking at the ethical elements of these decisions. I have continued my clinical work (but on a part-time basis) throughout my course thus far due to the ongoing struggles with COVID-19. I hope to continue study onto PhD, broadly examining ethical issues in day-to-day paramedic practice.
