Research interests

I research the psychological and neural mechanisms of human visual perception and cognition. Vision provides information so that we can interact with the world. These interactions involved sampling using a range of motor and cognitive systems including eye movements, arm, head and body movements. One major focus of our work has been to understand how and why we move our eyes to sample the visual world.  More recently we have become interested in engagement and interaction with creative content such as films, TV and live performance.
