Research interests
Dr Foster leads the language teaching team and is responsible for its overall management and strategy. He is also Year Abroad Officer for the School.
He teaches translation and interpreting classes in the Department of German and collaborates with colleagues in French, Spanish and Russian to deliver interpreting courses for those languages.
His research background is in German Studies, specifically Austrian culture and history since 1870. He has written and spoken on language learning and technology in recent years.
