Personal profile

Research interests

I joined the University of Bristol in September 2021. Previously, having completed my PhD, I worked as a Research Associate in Management Science at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, and as a Lecturer in Strategy at Aston University in Birmingham.

My research is concerned with the practice-based and phenomenological view of organisation and strategy. This means that I tend to ‘zoom in’ into the everyday work at organisations and professionals’ experiences to develop new insights for management theory and practice. As part of this overall direction of research, my work comprises two inter-related themes:

Firstly, I aim to advance the understanding of knowledge and learning in organisations and the relationship between knowledge and emerging technologies such as gamification or virtual reality. Secondly, I engage with the strategy-as-practice field to problematise the relationship between business and society as experienced in work practices, focusing on sustainability and grand challenges. My current projects include i) investigating the everyday work of sustainability professionals in India, and ii) the diffusion of knowledge management practices and techniques around the world.

My research has been published in Human Relations, Management Learning, Group Decision and Negotiation, and Sustainable Cities and Society.
