I am a Human-Computer Interaction researcher based in the Department of Computer Science, currently working on the Horizon 2020-funded DOWN2EARTH project. I am researching the use of user-centred methods to develop climate services and decision support tools for climate change adaptation in East Africa. Before this, I was based in the School of Geographical Science where I worked on the Mobile App Development for Drought Adaptation in Drylands (MADDAD) project, in partnership with the University of Cardiff (UK) and University of Nairobi (Kenya).

Previously, I was a doctoral student at University College London Interaction Centre (UCLIC), and before that I obtained a BSc and MSc by research in Computer Science at Durham University.

Broadly, my research interests are in human-computer interaction, climate services, ICT and HCI for development, video consumption, media experiences and measuring them (e.g. immersion), interruptions and multitasking, and sustainability. Please get in touch if you are interested in collaborating.
