Personal profile

Research interests

I am a PhD filmmaker-researcher with specialism in equity and representation in the screen industries. My doctoral project explores anti-extractive international filmmaking by combining collaborative documentary practice with qualitative screen industry studies. The rights to representation and creative expression across Indigenous, regional and small nation screen communities is of particular interest.

Previous research includes: No California (2021), a co-created documentary on regional creative exclusion in the UK screen sector; and Mascota (2022), a collaborative short film for Transforming Voices about women’s organisational vulnerability in the Mexico-US borderlands.

I am PhD student recipient of Arts and Humanities Research Council funding through the South West & Wales Doctoral Training Partnership (SWWDTP2).
