Personal profile

Research interests

I'm interested in applying technology to help people and the planet.

Thus far I've largely been working to improve healthcare:

  • HIV diagnostics at Cambridge
  • Novel anaesthetics drug delivery and medic training at Cardiff
  • 4D imaging and biomaterials for tissue regeneration at Imperial
  • Routine CT scans (3D imaging) and AI for disease screening at Bath. A spin out company of this tech I developed has now been formed (IngeniumAI) and I am the company's CEO.

Since 2021 I've been PI or Co-I on UKRI grants worth £1.4M+.

Here at Bristol I'm using machine learning on various projects with a focus on tackling healthcare and the environment problems.

I'm passionate about inclusivity and providing everyone with opportunities, hence outside of the lab I started The Savvy Scientist website to better inform prospective and current PhD students.
