I am currently a PhD student at the University of Bristol through the China Scholarship Council. Previously, I obtained my MA at the Department of History, University of Bristol. My PhD thesis focuses on post-war relief and rehabilitation in China (1943-1947) carried out by the transnational humanitarian organizations, notably UNRRA, and Chinese state and non-government actors. By examining urban and rural cases in China, I look at the interplay between different streams of nationalism and international humanitarianism during the short period from the late stage of Second World War to the outset of the Cold War. My research interest extends to transnational organizations and networks in mid-twentieth century.
