My current reserach interests are concerened with cinematic representations of grief, and the extent to which a phenomenological approach to film practice can help to explore the creative possibilities of capturing the lived-experience of grief on film. I am currently engaged in a collaborative project connected to this research interest, for which I am the Principal Investigator, titled 'An Empathetic Realisation of Embodied Grief in Fiction Film, funded by the Brigstow Institute. Additionally, I am also involved as a collaborator on the Wellcome Trust funded Good Grief, Bristol: Bristol Grief Festival 2020 - https://goodgriefbristol.com/
