I am looking at the representation of domestic abuse in contemporary narrative fiction. I am interested in who speaks for survivors and those still experiencing  domestic abuse, and to what extent do they recognise themselves and their experiences. In my writing I want to see how the nuances of modern definitions of domestic abuse are best represented in a body of creative writing.
