PhD Researcher in Social Work, Practicing Social Worker and Committee Member of the British Association of Social Workers Cymru.
Passionate about children, young people and enhancing outcomes for those involved in statutory children's social work.
My research to date has primarily explored relationship-based practice, evidence based and trauma informed assessments and care planning however, my PhD will explore and understand the relationships between children and their families during the assessment process of Statutory Children's Services.
My aim is to understand the systems of the relationship, the organisation, families and their connection to the assessment; exploring the role power and injustice, relationship based theories, systems theories and identifying how practice can better outcomes for children and their families.
