Personal profile

Research interests

I am the lead analyst and study coordinator for The Genetics of DNA Methylation Consortium (GoDMC, www.godmc.org.uk), an international collaboration of 55 human epidemiological studies comprising >45,000 study participants with genetic, phenotypic and DNAm data. It is the largest effort to date to identify cis and trans mQTL analysis by conducting GWAS meta-analyses of 450k DNAm levels, to develop new network approaches to understand interaction between cis- and trans acting variants and DNAm sites, to map the causal relationships of DNAm with 116 complex traits and diseases in a bi-directional manner. All code and results is freely available through github (https://github.com/mrcieu/godmc) and http://mqtldb.godmc.org.uk.

Research interests

I co-developed a Rpackage meffil to analyse and process large DNA methylation datasets (https://github.com/perishky/meffil)

Research interests

The Biomarkers in Atopic Dermatitis and Psoriasis (BIOMAP, https://www.biomap-imi.eu/) project addresses key unmet needs in chronic inflammatory skin diseases, with a broad impact on disease understanding, patient care and future therapies. The collaborative team involves 26 universities, including the University of Bristol, five industry partners as well as five patient organisations. In Bristol we provide statistical expertise and analysts to conduct genetic and molecular epidemiological analysis and causal inference.
