Personal profile

Research interests

I am currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Bristol. Previously I was an Assistant Professor at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy (LMU Munch) and a doctoral student at the Centre for Time (University of Sydney).

My research is principally within the philosophy of physics, with a particular emphasis on time and symmetry in classical and quantum theories of gravity. I am also interested in various issues in general philosophy of science and the philosophy of the social sciences.
