Professor Kathreena Kurian runs the Brain Tumour Research Centre, Bristol Medical School, University of Bristol.
She is a Professor of Neuropathology and Honorary Consultant at Southmead Hospital, North Bristol Trust and runs the NIHR portfolio IVMT cohort study.
She undertook medical training in Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School, London where she also achieved a BSc in Experimental Pathology. She undertook higher pathology and neuropathology clinical (FRCPath Neuro) and research training including an MD (Medical Faculty Research Fellowship) in Edinburgh and Cambridge.
She is Chair of the British Neuropathological Society Clinical Practice Committee.
She sits on the National Cancer Research Institute, Brain Tumour Group and Tessa Jowell Cancer mission.
She is on the Board of Trustees for the Science Centre We the Curious.
