Dr Kathreena Kurian runs the Brain Tumour Research Centre, Institute of Clinical Neuroscience, University of Bristol.
She is an Associate Professor/ Reader in brain tumour research and consultant clinical neuropathologist at Southmead Hospital, North Bristol Trust and runs Brain Tumour Bank South West (BRASH).
She undertook medical training in Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School, London where she also achieved a BSc in Experimental Pathology. She undertook higher pathology and neuropathology clinical (FRCPath Neuro) and research training including an MD (Medical Faculty Research Fellowship) in Edinburgh and Cambridge.
She sits on the National Cancer Research Institute, Brain Tumour Group.
She is on the Board of Trustees for the Science Centre We the Curious.
