Research interests
Kathryn Woods is a doctoral student at the University of Bristol, where they hold a Postgraduate Research Scholarship with a Graduate Teaching Assistantship. She completed her MA at the University College Dublin with support from the French and Francophone Studies Scholarship, and her BA at King’s College London. She previously worked as a lectrice at the Université de Franche-Comté in Besançon. Their thesis engages with questions of gender and translation in the literature and translated works of Willa Cather and Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, with particular attention given to notions of queer desire and mobility. They are supervised by Professor Bradley Stephens and Dr. Shuangyi Li.
