Research interests

I am a Lecturer in Cardiovascular Science based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. My research interests so far have exclusively pertained to cardiovascular signalling and pathology, with a particular emphasis on developing novel therapies for saphenous vein graft failure, atherosclerosis driven by comorbidities like periodontitis, and abdominal aortic aneurysms. Within these pathologies, my main pursuit is examining shifts in smooth muscle cell and endothelial cell behaviour, and then exploring avenues as to how these aberrations may be corrected.
