Research interests

I study the use of Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS) for use in real-time upstream radiotherapy verification. MAPS can be made incredibly thin (<100um) while maintaining a good signal with respect to noise. This means they can be made to be transparent to >99% of a radiotherapy X-ray beam, as well as having fast read-out speeds. Real-time treatment verification is becoming increasingly necessary as radiotherapy treatments are becoming more intense, with higher doses being administered in one treatment session.
I was previously a member of CMS working on top physics, particularly four-top-quark production.
