My research is focused on understanding the hydrological uncertainties in large-scale flood hazard mapping. I am currently working on quantifying the differences in the methods used to generate extreme flood magnitudes for use in global flood hazard models. I am interested in producing more hydrologically informed estimates of risk by understanding the controls of large-scale flood generating mechanisms and incorporating this into global flood hazard estimates.
