Biography

Laura Johnson is a Nutritional Epidemiologist leading a team of researchers investigating the role of overall dietary and eating patterns in the prevention and treatment of obesity, diabetes and coronary heart disease. In addtion her research group explores the factors that influence food intake and appetite control. Underpinning this research she also leads projects innovating passive dietary assessment methods including wearable devices and biomarkers.  Laura has a BSc. in Human Biology (Loughborough University, 2002), a MSc. in Genetic Epidemiology (University of Sheffield, 2004) and was awarded a PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology from the University of Cambridge in 2008.
