Personal profile

Research interests

My research interests include ecology, behaviour and conservation, specifically in the field of human-wildlife interaction. My PhD focusses on investigating how to deter bats from approaching wind turbines and includes the follow research areas:

  • Bat ecology, behaviour and bioacoustics
  • Conservation biology
  • Interactions of bats and wind turbines

Research methods

  • Bat echolocation call recording
  • Acoustic identification of bat calls (manual and using automated systems)
  • Thermal and NIR imaging
