Personal profile

Research interests

My current reearch interests revolve around the epidemiology of childhood chronic kidney disease, in particular access to healthcare services including dialysis and transplantation. My NIHR Fellowship will focus on understanding factors implicated in late presentation of children with chronic kidney disease, and whether modifiable factors exist that may serve as targets for intervention to enable timely identification.

I am also based at the UK Renal Registry where my roles include registry representative for UK paediatric nephrology trainees and writing paediatric chapters for the Registry's Annnual Report.

Previous research interests include management of paediatric ANCA vasculitis, acid-base balance in Bartter syndrome and genetics of familial juvenile hyperuricaemic nephropathy.
