My current research investigates the state, phase and properties of hydrogen adsorbed inside various porous materials. By tailoring the effects of nanoscale confinement, my research aims to access the high-density phases of hydrogen (solids) at temperatures above the critical point, thus increasing the hydrogen storage capacity of materials and also providing a possible alternative low-energy pathway to the elusive metallic phase of hydrogen.
