Personal profile

Research interests

I am PhD Student at the University of Bristol, in the Centre for Exercise, Nutrition and Health Science, School for Policy Studies. My thesis focuses on the social inequalities of the behavioural determinants of obesity (nutrition, physical activity and sedentarism) in Chile.

Previously, I worked at the Instituto de Sociología, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, as a quantitative research coordinator of National Surveys. Later, I worked at the Ministry of Health, in charge of the data analysis and result's dissemination of the Chilean Quality of Life and Health survey (ENCAVI 2015-16) and the data collection and validation of the National Health Survey (ENS 2016-2017).

I hold a BSc and MSc in Sociology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. My dissertation was about weight stigma, bullying and obesity in Chilean youth.
