Research interests

I'm interested in understanding internal variabilities of the carbon cycle and its reaction to external forcings. To do so, I use numerical Earth System models to perform sensitivity studies and test scenarios based on empirical evidence. For my Master's degree, I studied the sensitivity of the terrestrial carbon cycle to rising CO2 concentrations under glacial conditions at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, Hamburg. My current project at the University of Bristol aims at improving our understanding of Oceanic Anoxic Events (OAEs), major perturbations of the oceanic carbon cycle in the geological past. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Meteorology.
