I consider myself an Evolutionary Biologist focussed on the study of the evolution of genomes in terms of gene gains and losses. I have recently started my immersion in the NGS world and bioinformatics, using these big data to find new molecular markers that can give information about the evolutionary processes shaping the current biodiversity. Currently focused on the comparative genomics of different animal groups with a special interest in parasites.
