Personal profile
Research interests
My research is focused on the environmental impact of high tech infrastructure and the future of work. In the Business School, I am interested in projects that address the urgent challenge of reducing carbon emissions in both corporate and engineering cultures. I welcome inquiries from potential students and collaborators who are exploring sustainability efforts in, for instance, developing transparent accounting standards, circular design, electronics repair and reuse, and new initiatives to raise environmental awareness such as ecological AI. I am also interested in new forms of organizing in the context of climate change, from internal workplace activism to community initiatives targeting government and industry.
I have a background in gender and affect theory as well as applied anthropology with over a decade of industry experience in high tech. Students interested in hybrid research careers, or studying the culture of management and organization within engineering companies, are also welcome.
