Research interests

My research looks into the linkages between environmental stressors and the cross-border mobilities of Bangladeshi women to the Indian Sundarban region. I use feminist participatory methods for questioning the migration-as-adaptation discourses and bringing the focus back to the everydayness of environmental adaptation, as described by the participants.

Previously, I received a Distinction for pursuing M.A in Women's Studies from the University of York, UK. I completed my first M.A in Political Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India and B.A in Political Science (Gold Medalist) from Presidency University, India. I was also an exchange student at Sciences Po, Paris where I pursued the course on "International Affairs and Strategy" during my undergraduate degree.
