Personal profile
Research interests
My work is located within critical security studies. I focus on the intersection of security and identity on digital platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and online news websites asking what these constructions make possible. My work typically employs discourse analysis as method and I have an expertise in visual material such as images and videos. I sometimes publish on teaching, too, and have a particular interest in feminist methods, technology and pop culture.
