Research interests
Since August 2020, I have been working in the area of recycled carbon fibre. In particular, I am focused on producing materials for manufacture from carbon fibres reclaimed in their filament form from legacy aerospace components. This has included disassembling old aircraft, chopping of carbon fibres to short fibre lengths (3 - 10mm) and reformatting recycled carbon fibres into nonwovens and similar.
