Personal profile

Research interests

I am interested in how effective safety-netting strategies using conventional and novel methods can educate and protect patients, carers, doctors and health organisations. I am a strong believer in #ResearchForEveryone and #OpenAccess. My academic career aim is to merge high quality research with rapid service evaluation to minimise the delay between meaningful research and real-time quality improvement.

I enjoy and find it a great privilege to practise clinical medicine. I am currently a GP working in an area with high socio-economic deprivation in South Bristol. I qualified as a doctor in 2015 after 6 years at Cardiff University.

I joined the University of Bristol as an Academic Foundation Programme doctor (2015-2017). I was then fortunate enough to obtain an Elizabeth Blackwell Clinical Primer Research Fellowship (2017-2018) and worked as an Effective Consulting tutor for the new MB21 curriculum. I completed my Academic GP training (2018-2022) at CAPC and now work as an NIHR Clinical Research Fellow holding an In-Practice Fellowship grant.

Please feel free to email me with any questions about my research / future research ideas.
