Beki Langford is Research Fellow with the Integrative Epidemiology Unit, within Bristol Medical School. She is also a member for the Centre for Public Health and was formerly a researcher with DECIPHer (Development and Evaluation of Complex Interventions for Public Health Improvement), a UKCRC Public Health Research Centre of Excellence.

Beki’s research focuses on children and young people’s public health, with a particular emphasis on educational settings and health inequities. Methodologically, her focus is on qualitative methods, process evaluations and evidence synthesis for public health.  

She is currently leading the ‘Everybody Learning’ study, exploring how body size and weight affect young people’s experiences at school and their ability to learn. She is also qualitative and process evaluation lead for the NAP SACC UK randomised controlled trial, targeting physical activity and nutrition in nursery settings.
