Research interests

Rachel worked as a secondary school mathematics teacher for 10 years in a school in the greater Bristol area, before completing her Masters in Mathematics Education at the University of Bristol in 2018. She is currently researching the enactments of mathematical identity in the context of low attainment in mathematics. This research seeks to challenge the negative discourse around low attainment in the UK, as well as investigate creative ways of data collection and analysis.
