Research interests
I am a scholar of political violence with a strong empirical focus on modern Middle East history. My research agenda encompasses terrorism, armed conflict, transnational repression, foreign fighters, insurgents in civil wars and organized crime. I warmly welcome inquiries from prospective PhD students with these or related interests.
