Research interests
As an anticolonial feminist geographer, I study the stories told by, and about, Indigenous women in island communities. Working across continents, I am interested in how these women’s relationships with the sea are evolving due to climate change and geopolitical colonial pressures. I use participatory storytelling practices and look at these changing ocean relationships through stories in transmedial forms.
