Research interests

My research lies in the field of statistical physics and, in particular, liquid state theory. Current interests include:i) fluid interfacial phenomena, especially the physics of adsorption, with emphasis on surface phase transitions such as wetting and drying and their criticality, ii) structure and phase behaviour of liquids under nano and mesoscale confinement, iii) theory of nucleation and iv) deriving and applying simple models of colloidal suspensions. I also investigate the connections between classical and quantum (electronic) density functional theory (DFT), a technique that forms a cornerstone of many body physics.
