Research interests
Sam Han is a London-based teacher, writer and photographer. He is currently Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Bristol. As a social scientist, he works primarily in the areas of social/cultural/critical theory, new media studies, religion, the United States and East Asia (as well as their various overlaps and nodal points). He is the author of six academic monographs, most recently The Concept of Tragedy: Its Importance for the Social Sciences in Unsettled Times (Routledge, 2023).
