Research interests

Sebastian Bustamante-Brauning is a South West & Wales Doctoral Training Partnership PhD candidate at the University of Bristol & University of Exeter researching digital memory spaces from Latin America. Sebastian holds an MA in Art History and Theory (Distinction) and a BA in Latin American Studies (1st Class) from the University of Essex and has recently worked as the Assistant Director of the Essex Collection of Art from Latin America where he taught, researched and lectured on art, politics and the history of Latin America. In this role he also curated displays and organised interdisciplinary symposia, events and learning
sessions. Sebastian's research interests include photography, museology, art history, digital heritage, human rights and memory in Latin America and the interstices between these areas.
