Miss Seljan Fermor-Hesketh

I am a first year student researching how women are represented in Russian operatic works in the 19th and 20th centuries. The way women are represented in many art forms has always interested me. In my work leading up to performances, the process of research and in bringing a character in front of audiences has helped me realise that an accuracy of research is needed in the realisation of women characters. 

Apart from my research work, I am regularly performing, both in concert and in opera productions in the U.K and Azerbaijan.
