My research is centred on enhancing Quality of Transmission (QoT) estimation in optical networks through ML techniques. This involves deploying Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) on accurate QoT estimations and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks for short-term performance forecasting. I have also investigated the potential of optical telemetry in bolstering AI engines and digital twins in optical networks. Throughout my previous research, I have acquired substantial knowledge in applying ML techniques in optical networks, complemented by hands-on experience at the UK National Dark Fibre Facility (NDFF).
I am passionate about improving QoT estimations in optical networks by leveraging ML algorithms and analytical models, such as the Gaussian Noise model. Moreover, I am dedicated to advancing digital twin technologies and ML-driven monitoring and telemetry platforms in optical networks. I am eager to exchange ideas and collaborate with peers from both academia and the industry who share similar interests.
