I am a Consultant Senior Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. My research interests are in child and adolescent mental health epidemiology, school-based mental health, early intervention and prevention, with a particular focus on school absence. My PhD used large linked datasets from mental health and education to examine school absence as a predictor of mental health problems in adolescents.

I previously worked at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King's College London, and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and continue to work with colleagues there on projects using a digital platform to conduct surveys in schools to better understand mental health needs, and support a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing.

I also work clinically as an honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.
