Personal profile

Research interests

My PhD research investigated the relationship between emotional processing and mental health outcomes, using both experimental and epidemiological methods. I am particularly interested in the role that processing biases (our tendency to perceive things more positively or negatively) can lead to the development of anxiety and depression symptoms.

I am currently based in the Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group, within the School of Psychological Science and MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit, and regularly collaborate with colleagues on projects concerning substance use.
