Our group works on investigating the molecular genetics of neuropeptide receptors, with particular reference to the molecular basis of the structural and functional diversity of receptors in the hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and hypothalamo-neurohyphysial system (HNS), and peripheral tissues such as the kidney, pancreas, mammary gland, uterus and ovary.
Key receptors being studied are the vasopressin V1b receptor, the oxytocin receptor, the apelin receptor and the recently characterised G protein-coupled oestrogen receptor (GPER), as well as a number or 'orphan' G protein-coupled receptors.
