Research interests
Suzanne is a Senior Research Fellow in Public Health. Her research interests include health inequalities and routine physical activity (especially walking and the pedestrian environment). She is a qualitative researcher with expertise in the development and implementation of process evaluation and is a co-author of the MRC Public Health Research Network guidance on process evaluation of complex public health interventions. She is a director of the SHINE (Supporting Healthy Inclusive Neighbourhood Environments) health integration team with Bristol Health Partners, and an executive member of Bristol Walking Alliance. Before becoming a full time academic, Suzanne spent 20 years as a community development worker in disadvantaged areas of Bristol and Glasgow.
