Personal profile

Research interests

My academic training has developed at the intersection of continental social theory, empirical social science, and computer science, with a longstanding commitment to developing conceptual and methodological resources for the study of emerging technologies. Guided by this objective, my research interests span digital ontology, cloud sovereignty, critical data studies, and broader questions concerning AI and society.

My doctoral project traces the historical, institutional, and infrastructural development of two frontier AI providers, OpenAI and Anthropic. Combining technography, walkthrough methods, archival analysis, and genealogical inquiry, the project examines the politicisation and sovereignisation of contemporary AI firms, while asking how these developments can be situated within the broader formation of a computational empire.

Alongside this work, I have also been trained as a computational social scientist. I have contributed to the writing of a textbook on computational social science and have been involved in interdisciplinary explorations of emerging methodological approaches across the social sciences.

Finally, I remain a Deleuzian, inspired more by the spirit of his thought than committed to reproducing his conceptual apparatus.
