Personal profile

Research interests

My doctoral research investigates the Franco-English diplomatic relations during Charles II's reign, 1660-1685. My research is based on the analysis of contemporary English and French diplomatic communications pertinent to historical events to build up a more insightful understanding of the mechanisms and intentions of the invovled parties.

My doctoral project is being supported by South West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership from October 2025. My supervisory team consists of Professor Ronald Hutton at the University of Bristol and Dr Elizabeth Williamson at the University of Exeter.

My wider research interests include other aspects of the early modern period, more specifically between 1485-1685, which include social, cultural, gender, political and economic histories throughout Europe and the wider world.
