Personal profile

Research interests

I am a senior research associate at the University of Bristol Medical Research Council Integrative Epidemiology Unit, UK; currently on secondment at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, USA. My research interests include pharmacoepidemiology and instrumental variable analysis. I am particularly intertested in how Mendelian randomization can be used to study drug effects.  I completed my PhD, titled ‘New uses for old drugs: Investigating whether antihypertensives can be repurposed for the prevention of dementia’, at the University of Bristol, UK and previously took a six-month secondment at GlaxoSmithKline to investigate the use of genetic evidence in drug target validation.
